On the first Sunday of November, the world runs by my front door. I live right on the course of the New York City Marathon, and watching the race is one of the highlights of my year. This year more than 50,000 runners from more than 100 countries completed the race. In addition to the runners, their friends and family from all over the world visit NYC to watch. For the record, the top three American men finishers this year are all immigrants, from Somalia, Kenya, and Eritrea, respectively. Below are a few photos I took during the race.
